Review of the Triumph Thruxton 900

Whenever a bike is full, Triumph Thruxton is a time machine. Just admiring a Thruxton from afar get images Brando jackets in black leather boots, studded with olive trees and try to break the "flap" through his mind, while actually taking one for a walk, it's the nostalgia flowing in a stream.

The lower clip-on bars, headlight chrome ball and the singing of conical baffles all play their part in sending back through the decades when the Café term "Racer" was born in streets of the bustling city of London in biker haunts like Ace Café and The Bee.

Fortunately, although his style is reminiscent of the time where industry was king British Cycling, the Thruxton wheels firmly planted in the present.

With an electric starter, brakes Front disc and rear, modern suspension, racing game Street Retro gives you all the excitement with none of the headaches - if you're a real purist, you even place your own pool of oil under this ...

Launched in 2004 and named after the tour of British history, the Thruxton is essentially a version Cafe Racer retro classic brands, the Bonneville, but with the tight suspension, brakes and geometry, clip-on bars, exhaust megaphone, warning against a "dwarf" and a backrest of the seat, it leaves just a cover to reveal space for a passenger.

The faithful do not take into account the absence of some starters, but a press of the fire is easily Thruxton and quickly resolve a constant hum, care of the gorge muffler factory option in our test bike was equipped.

On the way are pure, in its form today - its preload adjustable suspension does a good job of smoothing out bumps, its disc brakes and lowering the speed roads and a line through a beautiful corner.

It will not keep pace with bottles of many large companies, but the 69 horses are quite respectable, especially compared with the results of the bicycle on which a tilth.

Its fuel is clean, and although the 7500rpm red line is indicated it is not necessary to reach these heady heights - Center for meat midrange is on the agenda.

For fussy, there are still Thruxton few weaknesses. Firstly, in a distracted moment, it is possible to cook your left knee on the cylinder head, although this is not a problem if you wear fur.

Secondly, the steering lock is independent means possible, roll with the address block. As before, it's true, but we have done in that direction for good reason.

Finally, the refueling of the CAP is not lockable. Maybe not so much a problem back in the day, but perhaps a little too tempting for some these days in light of the fingers too much time on their hands, even if its purpose is to cause irritation and discomfort ...

For those who have an affinity with the style Café Racer 60's and 70's, the Triumph Thruxton 900 offers a package with a modern and the old board. It is a powerful combination, and I am sure, to keep the mind sharp and Café Racer well for many years to come.
