Cities and Competitiveness
In the modern world, people and money are mobile. For cities and companies who invest, it means that competition. Create your city and the best place to live, work, study or visit has been given more emphasis on urban design and regeneration.
An important factor in the quality of public space is the street furniture. The plateau humble confine light or security are elements of a system the public is more directly linked. These are items that are in most human scale.
Traditionally, the furniture has been the responsibility of local councils. Often, this means that the cost and durability have were the factors most important concepts.
