Colder Air is Better for the Engine
The cold air intake is a car accessory that provides the engine with colder air for better performance. It has been proven that colder air always works better with a vehicle’s engine since it is denser. In principle, denser air has more oxygen for the engine to use.
The cold air intake makes sure that an ample amount of cold air flow from the outside into the engine bay. By doing this, it prevents the engine from reaching high temperatures that can cause constant overheating. More importantly, the cold air intake increases the engine’s potential of producing more power since it only requires a minimum amount of effort for the engine to fulfill its function.
There are specific cold air intake designs that can help the cold air intake function with more efficiency. Some of these designs have increased diameter and smooth interior which help in maximizing airflow and decreasing air resistance. However, more complicated designs are believed to bring even better results.
