Classic Two Tone

Art education: basic techniques of classical realism oil paintings

What is oil paint? Painting Oil on canvas. It is an indisputable definition. I thought that painting is more than that.

Any type of art figurative (including the oil painting) is considered in advance. The basic rules of studying drawing and painting are very closely related to the laws of discipline.

Tip 1. Brushes

You should have many brushes for washing not to waste time while working. Take a new toothbrush for each new mixture. Use a round brush Kolinsky, No. 1 to No. 10. To cover large areas, require a brush # 20 to # 35 years. Finally Loved PRIPLAVLENIYE (final mix) will have a tour of some very soft and flat average size squirrel brushes. Brushes should be treated with care. After each session should be washed with turpentine, then in warm soapy water.

Tip 2. Canvas

The lacquer for the final step in 30% of CRYSTAL DAMAR, 3% linseed oil and 67% turpentine.

Tip 7. Cleaning Cloth

The set of primers is following: "Rembrandt" oil colors: Flake White, yellow ocher, red ocher, umber, Raw Umber Ivory and Lamp Black (7 Basic Colors) and 4 additional colors (if necessary) that I use in the last layers: Flake Yellow (instead of, you can also use cadmium yellow deep), madder lake deep, Chinese Vermilion, Prussian blue. But be careful to use these colors 4 last very sparingly.

Advice 10. TEL'NII PODMALYOVOK

The

first TEL'NII and the second (shades of skin colors major life) PODMALYOVOK (5th and 6th layers). The first half is TEL'NII PODMALYOVOK lighter and two shades lighter in color, and half a tone darker and two tones lighter in shadows. The same is true of PODMALYOVOK seconds TEL'NII.
